Miren "Ren" Zarate is a frustrated artist turn 3D Modeler and Visualiser. After years of freelancing and contemplating her creative future she found herself again and again creating buildings, from children's illustration books, to photography sets and finally, physical architectural models.

After one day being asked she could draft, she said (as she does to every new project offer she gets), "No, but I can figure out."

Jumping off from the platform of her Bachelors of Fine Arts (Hons) from the University of New South Wales, Ren attended TAFE Ultimo, NSW and completed her Diploma of Building Design during Covid lockdown in 2021.

​

Currently she is the BIM Operations Manager and Coordinator at CMS Surveyors. Her duties include Revit modelling and documentation from survey and point cloud data, project management, quality checks and exports, staff training and client-facing technical help and presentations.

​

Her passions and motivations lie not in the pursuit of creativity - despite her educational background. She finds creative fulfilment most in discovering ways and solutions to achieve a final product. From this passion she has worked with a plethora of software and platforms including Adobe CC, Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, Mesh Lab, Pointerra, Cloud Compare, 3ds Max, Blender and many more - just to get the result she wanted!
